PREP INSTRUCTIONS

Beautiful bridal hair begins with preparation.

To ensure a seamless wedding morning and the best possible results for your chosen hairstyle, please review the following preparation guidelines. These recommendations apply to the bride and all members of the bridal party receiving hair services.

THE NIGHT BEFORE

  • Double wash your hair: Begin with a clarifying shampoo to remove product buildup and excess oils, followed by a second wash with your regular shampoo.

  • Condition lightly: Apply conditioner primarily to the mid-lengths and ends, avoiding heavy products near the roots.

  • Avoid heavy products: Please refrain from using oils, leave-in treatments, styling creams, or excessive serums that may weigh the hair down.

  • Dry thoroughly: Hair should be 100% dry before arriving the next morning.

THE MORNING OF

  • Arrive with dry hair: All hair must be completely dry and ready for styling. Blow-drying is not included in standard bridal styling services.

  • Avoid hot tools: Please leave straightening, curling, and other heat styling to your hairstylist.

  • Wear appropriate clothing: A button-down shirt, robe, or zip-up top is recommended to avoid disturbing your finished hairstyle.

  • Have inspiration pictures: If you haven’t already shared your desired look, please have a few inspo photos available.

  • Be on time: All bridal members should be ready as soon as the chair opens up to keep the morning running smoothly.

EXTENSIONS & ACCESSORIES

  • Hair extensions: Any clip-in extensions should be washed, completely dry, brushed, and ready for installation. Please communicate extension use prior to your wedding date.

  • Hair accessories: Have your veil, decorative pins, combs, and other accessories readily available for placement.

  • Special considerations: Please notify me in advance of any hair concerns, significant changes to your hair, or additional styling needs.

DIRTY HAIR DOES NOT HOLD BETTER

Freshly washed hair can be prepped.

Greasy hair can’t be made clean with texture spray.

Hair length, thickness, color and layers all affect how the finished style will look!
